These programs help youth become responsible, caring citizens and acquire skills to participate the democratic process. Program participants also develop leadership skills and gain opportunities for planning, decision-making, contributing to Club and community and celebrating our national heritage.
Boys & Girls Clubs’ unique approach to workforce readiness prepares youth for success in their first jobs and helps them develop a plan to achieve their chosen careers.
These programs are designed to ensure that all Club members graduate from high school on time, ready for a post-secondary education and a 21st-century career.
These programs develop young people’s capacity to engage in positive behaviors to nurture their well-being, set personal goals and grow into self-sufficient adults.
The Boys & Girls Club is accepting registration for our after school program available to boys and girls throughout the community, ages 5-18 (members must be in kindergarten per DFPS.)
A current membership is required to attend. The price for membership is $35.00. That membership will be good until September 30 of each year. The monthly activity fee for the after-school program is $30.00 a month for one child and an additional $15.00 for each child after but not exceeding $60.00.
There is a $5 discount if your monthly fee is placed on a credit card with recurring billing set up through the Club.
The program is available Monday-Friday from 3:00pm-6:00pm.
Monthly fee is due on the first day of the month no later than the 10th or there is a $5 late fee per child.
If your children are going to need to be transported to the Boys & Girls Club after school, you will need to call Sherman ISD transportation to get them on the school bus to come to the facility.
We say that the Boys & Girls Club is 90% for kids and 10% for working parents. The Club will determine holiday hours as we get closer to Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring breaks and see if there is a need.
Sign ups will open a couple of weeks before the break and we will need a minimum of 30 kids.
Information for summer 2020 will be updated in January.
